Ex-Marine Sergeant

✖ Rachel was born in a family constantly a part of the military, her great-grandfather, her grandfather, grandmother and her parents both were in some part of the military, her father was an acting sergeant in the Air Force Base in Charleston and the Airborne Corps in Fort Bragg when her parents met each other. Her mother Mary was a nurse in the marines which was what connected them together, after 6 months in dating, they finally got married. 9 months later, Rachel was born then her little sister was born 4 years later after she was born. She was always on the move with her parents and sister, considering this was how the life of Army Brat lived, she never got used to the cities they lived or the friends she met, although the families whom were being moved all the family were her friends and extended family since she was a baby. They had that common, so it gave them that inner connection, and a secret society of people.
✖ She went to school via the teachers they had on the base, her father rarely had the time to commit his life to his family much, of course he was there but he wasn't present in being a compassionate and soft hearted father, his mind and his heart lived for the army no matter what. Might be why her parents argued a lot when they talked via a video chat on the computer or with a cell phone, at least she had her mother to be loving, sweet and compassionate, it wasn't a surprise she was more of a mama's girl than a daddy's girl. Once Rachel was at her graduation ceremony with her mother and little sister out in the audience, her father Taylor attended the graduation as a surprise. She realized he was there after she got her dipolma, she smiled widely and waved at her father like a fool but she didn't care.
✖ Once she had graduated from school, Rachel decided to follow after her family being enlisted into the army, the recruitment wasn't hard to get into with the backbone behind her, she deicded to start with being in the Army. She experienced her first time in basic training, being pushed to her limits and over her limits also, being a perfectionist in knowing what to do in unknown situations, the same with excelled knowledge with tons of know-how with weapons, the other training in auxilliary sessions. As time went on she enlisted to help the Coast Guard Reserve and continued her services in becoming Sergeant at a young age of 25, she served in Afghanistan as the leader of the 1st Marine Expeditionary Force FET (Female Engagement Team), she was the third woman to be awarded the Silver star since World War II, in between being in Afghanistan and Iraq, she met a surgeon by the name of Daniel Alves, he was a part of the medical team that traveled from Seattle to Afghanistan considering he volunteered to help in any way he could in the remote area they were stationed at.
✖ The two of them hit it off pretty hard, they made themselves official even if their relationship revolved around a long distance type, they made it work base on the circumstances of their lives. At age 27, Rachel and Daniel got engaged, a year later her parents got a divorce and that just complicated things with having two parents living at different parts of the world. Her mother moved to Tokyo and her father stayed in South Carolina, she was used to moving and not staying in one place for more than a couple of months. Daniel and Rachel decided to have their wedding the next year, on the day they were pronounced man and wife in a small place in New York, Daniel and Rachel had all their family there so it was over a 50 people there. It was a private wedding, a normal insane and nutty day where everything seemed to go wrong and ended up not going much as planned but they ended up getting married regardless.
✖ Unfortunately it was supposed to be the happiest day of their lives and it ended up turning into a living hell, this was the sadden wrong place at the wrong time event. At the reception, being married less than two hours, a gang associated with a group called the Exchange interrupted the reception, their attempt to find a safe location to stay, the gang war erupted, resulting into the death of all 50 people murdered, including her parents and her sister and her new husband Daniel, half her family and his family were all gone, yet Rachel was severely injured, she was in a coma for 3 months, once she woke up expecting to have Daniel sitting by her bedside, she was by herself..then discovered being the only sole survivor in her family's deadly massacre.
✖ It took her a long time to recover from her injuries, nothing could heal the heartache and shock within her after finding out her husband Daniel, her mother, her father and her little sister and a whole mess of others were dead. After the longing and adruous road to recovery, now being recuperated, she vowed revenge against the ones who were responsible for her family being gone. She took on her married name as Rachel Cole-Alves, she intended to make sure the ones responsible would pay.
✖ She could not deal with the NYPD not having any evidence and a lack of action when it came to her family's memory, so she decided to take the action in seeking out justice in her way. Rachel got in contact with a reporter for the Daily Bugle named Norah Winter, she had been following the Exchange ever since they started in her city, she also followed the Punisher's crusade against them. Now she's plotting her plans, expecting to probably run into the Punisher but dealing with him, that's not on her top to-do list, since she doesn't have a to-do list, there's only one thing on her mind 'revenge' and 'vengeance' for her family.
